Co-founder, Neurologist specialized on Parkinson’s disease and related syndromes

Philippe Damier has been Professor of Neurology at the University Hospital Center (UHC) of Nantes since 1999. He received clinical and scientific training at UHC of Grenoble (France), University Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris, France), Salpêtrière Hospital (Paris) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA). He directed the Department of Neurology and Clinical investigation Center of Nantes UHC. He currently coordinates the Inter Regional Coordination Center & Expert Center on Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders in western France. His research focuses on cell death mechanisms in Parkinson’s disease and on neuro-stimulation. On these topics, he has published more than 150 articles in international medical and scientific journals. He has recently obtained an MBA from Melbourne University (Australia) and has published through Odile Jacob “Decide in any self-awareness. Neurosciences and decision.”
